    Howdy,

I live in Westminster, CO. which is located between Denver & Boulder and I have been looking for a first generation Tacoma for well over a year now. As my fellow Coloradians can attest to, the price of 4 X 4 Tacomas are inflated and good ones don't last long on Craig's List or dealers for that matter.
Last month I was quick enough and purchased a 2001 Taco Extra Cab SR5 V-6 TRD 4 X 4, 5-Speed with Diff Lock from the original owner with 104K miles :). It's forest green with a tan interior and it came equipped with a color matched Snug Fit Cap ( Locking Handle does not work ). It's not perfect and the original owner was not a gear head and the maintenance was done by those Jiffy Lubes places etc. Unfortunately he replaced the all the Bilstein shocks with some Big O Junk Shocks, go figure. I do my own mechanical work and have replaced T belts etc on Pathfinders so I am pretty confident I can tackle the Taco timing belt replacement which hasn't been done yet. Probably replace the water pump as well when I am in there. I received my EBay Tacoma Maintenance Manual which I found was a pirated copy of the Factory service manual. For $10 I could care less. I have already searched the Forum for the best prices on "Toyota Tacoma OEM parts" but didn't get what I was expecting. Please let me know where to purchase Tacoma OEM parts (See below) . . .

I am an Mechanical Engineer by profession and unfortunately the medical equipment company which I have been working for the past six years terminated my position effective Dec 2008, Gee thanks.

PS: I will post a picture soon & I am an active member of the GS Resource Forum.

I am looking forward to learning a lot on TacomaWorld Forum. It's amazing the wealth of information out there on all the Forums from our Tacoma's to motorcycles and everything in between. A friend of mine told me there is even website for Cub Cadets . . .

Since I need to replace my Taco T-Belt, waterpump & probably spark plugs (Do I really need NGK Spark Plugs with 2 Pronge Electrodes ?) I was wondering if some of the more seasoned Forum members could provide a link to cheaper Toyota OEM parts.

I used the Search function but it didn't turn up a 1-800 number or Website.

    TIA
