I use a Backflip F1 and love it. A solid top will give you a little sense of security over a soft top. I don't think a soft top will have the durability as a hard top over the years. I've had mine for 4 years and still going strong.$.02

Really no complaints with the oem toyota tonneau cover....its a bit heavy, but works and seals well.

I'm also a fan of the Truxedo Lo Pro. Had one on my "gone now" F150 for seven years through hot summers and below freezing winters. Never a problem.

Now with my Taco, I opted for another Truxedo. This time i went with their new Pro X15 rollup, made with convertible top fabric and am liking it very much. One thing with the Pro X15 though is the quality of the workmanship. After installation I immediately registered my product and I sent them some pictures of the headrail and never got any response! I gently tried to tap it in but it doesn't budge. Other end is not so bad.
Hasn't posed any problems yet but I've had it on for only five months. Still would've expected a response from them!

As I posted earlier in this thread, I have the Truxedo Sentry CT, your photo shows the problem I had with the Sentry. The little cap at the end of the Velcro slot was all messed up and the weather seal was torn and looked like it was assembled by a 5 year old. I purchased through AutoAnything and their customer service contacted Truxedo for me and got an envelope in the mail with a 5 pack of endcaps and a roll of weatherstripping. I had to repair it myself, but now it looks and fits perfect.

I love the cover, but the initial quality left me a little on the fence about their quality control.

Been happy with my Diamondback. Not for everyone, but I love how it keeps everything in the back secure, and is beefy enough to load stuff on top of.

I have a Truxedo Truxport. Two years with no problems so far, great value for the money in my opinion. I would definitely recommend it for a soft roll up tonneau.

I have been very happy with the Access LiteRider. Had one for many years on my 05 Taco and have a new one on my 2020. It has survived many years in the New England weather and rolls up out of site very easy when full bed needed. Only issue would be security if you are in an area where it is needed, but in 15 years has never been an issue. Good Luck with whatever you settle on.

eXtang eXceed owner here. This thing is solid. I love it. Only con in my opinion is that the fold sections sit kinda low in the bed, reducing overall clearance.. Mainly my cooler.

I myself have an extang. However, if I could do it all over again, I would spend the bucks and get a Diamondback and add bars to it just like @rafanomenon.

I’ve been looking at possibly getting a Truxedo. For the LoPro and ProX15 do you have to remove or lower the truck bed rails to install?
