Well my last edit went.... Backwards.

I created a huge rev hang low in the rpm and had no acceleration.

Off the line was great, after that was pooh.

Funny thing is, it still shows me hitting full throttle by the throttle pid.

I think the throttle pid is jacked and will continue to use the butt dunno for the feels

    Quote of the Week:

This is my feeling with the PID also. I wish it was similar to the AFRs. Tell me what is commanded, what is the actual throttle, and additionally, what is the percentage of full and actual torque.

Just do the opposite of what you did and you’ll be a hero for eliminating revhang!

One of my own edits had super strong engine braking but I had trash acceleration too, felt like I was towing lol

Is this from messing with the PTTG1 tables?

Yeah, I'm doing quite extreme changes and seeing how it affects it.

    Pttg1 is touchy

Yup. Messing with the values too much makes it feel like the throttle was either on or off at the slightest touch on the accelerator.
I left values from 1k RPM throttle angle 13.414 to 0 at default, increased the 1kRPM x 15.562 thru 44.546 by 3% and the rest of the range 2%. And then pasted that for rpm ranges above 1k. From the logs, absolute throttle position lowest value was round 15.

Messing with the throttle angle from 0-13.414 affected tip in more so than PTTG did.

PTTG1 alone didn't do much from my tests. It's when combined with the modified airload tables and throttle limit increased and that's when it felt like my truck woke up. I found my happy spot with the tune.

Ever wonder if Matt gave us the vF Tuner just to give us a glimpse into how difficult real engine tuning is? :boink:

There was that flow chart on the Dev or MT thread. That was plenty for me.

if you had to guess what happened when i did this, what would you say. (and i dont know why the 3d graph turned green all the way)

    pttt0.jpg

it didn't make me not accelerate, im not sure what it did actually, your guess would be as good as mine.

We all know when we change the far left to 0 that engine braking was negatively affected.

i would say that engine braking was still affected by this in a negative way as i was driving i noticed strange off throttle behavior even in gear at 3000 rpms.

once i got back onto the road i live on (has a nice long downhill section) i tested it in first gear.

in the picture below is a 1st gear, downhill, with NO throttle pedal input. Im so confused.

    dfco.jpg

im gonna dump them all to -10.75 and try again.

    ptttmin.jpg

DISCLAIMER: I dont recommend trying these things, try at your own risk. I have a good section of road to test this on where traffic wouldnt be an issue if my truck explodes.

yeah i dont have a clue what this table does actually. it doesnt seem to affect when accelerating, it doesnt seem to affect decelerating.

or the truck just ignores it because of the WTF im putting into it.

or the changes this table makes are so minute that i cant feel it.

everything about this truck has been so random.

I put the map in with the above values (all -10.75) i felt no difference

same hill in first gear as before

Has anyone done the tweaks on post one to the stock 04B14 file? Is that even possible? If so, could some do them and post the file?
I have been waiting a week for @OVTune to get back to me for the vf reg key.

Yep. I got the email for the reg key for the flash software but not vf, unless they are the same. In which case there was no mention of that in his previous emails.

The vF Master Key is an alphanumeric sequence like you get for Windows / Office. The REG file for flash access is a registry file that you install. You need the Master Key to edit files. You need the REG file to flash.
