Agreed. I've hade all three gens and a 1987 and will say I've loved them all but the 2nd gen. Its flat out the worst gen and honestly not the most attractive gen either (in my opinion). My 03 was my all time favorite but for all aound purposes the 3rd gets the #1 spot. Size, comfort, tech, a wheeling beast and looks the best of them all so far. Thanks to Ov Tune it's now also a blast to drive even if it is just to the mall :D

and it gets to go back in, had a problem while out camping and took it to a dealer in southern New Mexico. The tech pulled 7 codes, all about systems communicating with each other.

Sorry to hear about you issues.. Better lemon-law than sucker. Every manufacturer has its lemons and unfortunately you got one of the ultra rare Toyota lemons. File a case with Toyota and cross your fingers.

If 3rd gen is best I'd hate to see the runner up. My 3rd gen has shitty throttle response, shitty transmission, no power under 3200rpm, geared wrong from factory, paint that comes off if you sneeze, small interior, dim brakelights you can barely see in the sun.

The Ford looks more like a Toyota than the Tacoma does.

Agree, not looking at the lemon law yet. I will give the dealer and Toyota the opportunity to fix it. All the codes seem to be related.

I no longer consider a problem toyota product to be ultra rare, my wife 2015 Lexus had problems also and some where never fixed by the dealer, they just went away. The last two new Toyota Products have given us more problems then all the other new vehicles I have purchase combined, Toyota, Fords, Infinity and Jeeps.
