Question... Has anyone done an amp bypass and had issues with the stuff they added cutting in and out ( like a CD skipping)? At around volume level 45 it was cutting out... then I changed the connector to 5 watts instead of 4 and cut my amp down. this allowed me to get the volume up to 50 however its skill cutting out. I have a phoenix gold 700 watt amp and xs through out with a 8 fozzy in the back with the factor sub box... I am lost with this, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure to check your voltage at the amplifier. If you are dropping below a certain voltage the amp can cut out as described. Any voltage drops starting from 11v and below can cause your amp to go into protect or just cut off for a second.

Either that or the amp ground might suck.

Need a whole lot more info

    how is everything hooked up?
Are you doing high level from the JBL amp into your new amp?
Are you using an AmpPro or DSR1?
Are you using a basic LOC?
