Never could make the transition from the First Gen T100/Tundras. Had three but the last one just rusted away. First T100 and Tundra s are still on the road.
So half way home in my 2014 Taco and find out it did not come with windshield wipers.. and read some great threads on just how stupid this is/was for Toyota. Just ordered the intermittent replacement.
Next item is the radio. Looks like the prior owner swapped out a downgraded factory radio as the camera is still in the tailgate handle but no camera feature on the radio. Also I want the add the Sirius feature..my wife spoiled me with that satellite radio on her RLX.
So question to start...what radio should I put in that will give me the back up camera, Sirius and phone/blue tooth?
So now I am a Taco driver after a quarter century of full size trucks. I hope I don't say anything wrong...

SR didn’t come from the factory with rear view camera, intermittent wipers or cruise. In fact the wording harness isn’t even plug and play on the regular cabs like it is with the SR access cabs. http://www.rostra.com/2014-toyota-tacoma-tailgate-backup-camera.php
Not sure if the double cabs have a full option wiring harness where most electronics are plug and play but on the regular cab if you wanted cruise you had to add a signal wire to the computer. The program is in the computer but the signal wire from the steering wheel to the computer is not.
Hope you enjoy the Tacoma like you do your T100s
    Welcome aboard. :hattip:

The plot thickens... this is the 2014 base model four door five foot bed. It has the back up camera installed in the tailgate handle but the radio that is installed does not have the camera. I ordered the replacement intermittent windshield wiper and I sure hope I don't find out something is missing that I cannot connect it.
Still trying to figure out what radio to buy so I can use the back up camera, get Sirius etc.
    Thanks guys.

Pull the headunit and make sure the camera wiring is installed. Maybe it’s a tailgate from a different truck? The Rostra kit I needed to home run the wiring down the frame into the cab and into the radio...

I have not pulled the head unit as yet but I did find that the wiring from the tailgate camera is out of the bottom of the tailgate...two wires one in a ribbed insulator tube and one straight wiring, they are tired together with wire ties...they go under the truck. Also in the glove box I found two sets of wires to connect the camera to the back of the head unit..my guess is that these were left over when the ungraded head had the camera connected. Since he too that head unit with him I assume this lower grade unit was swapped in.
This model is the Club Cab 6cy but below the SR5. It does have cruise control.

I had T100 and Tundra also and I think you'll find(at least in the V6) the 2nd gen Tacoma is really almost identical in just about every aspect to both the T100 and Tundra. The V8 Tundra I had did tow a little better with heavy loads and it was ever so slightly more roomy inside, but not really by a whole lot.

Aww man full size tundra to toy taco.... I had a 2008 tundra and miss it every day. Taco is a great little truck but definitely feels like a toy. The tundra was huge and didn't maneuver to well in the woods. But it towed and and did everything else perfect. It was also a lot more comfortable than my 2019 taco.

Congrats on the taco. It's a great little truck and will hopefully last you a long time. A couple of my friends have the kenwood indash dvd units. I ran alpine units in the past and really liked them. The Kenwood work great in their cars/trucks and looks clean. Also change out your door speakers if possible.

right, fatfurious, I really need to change that. Trying to figure out how. I think I will go with the Kenwood as I want the Sirius, GPS and back up camera screen.
