Right?!? I had ones similar on my 1987 Tacoma and so loved getting them for the new one!

I have the steps as well with the diamond plate pads. They are simply hard but flexible rubber material. Recommend heavy dosage of super glue to hold them down on the rails themselves.

I am heading to the store now to get some gorilla super glue. Thanks so much for the recommendation!

Thanks! They are a hard rubber. The steps actually are super slippery because of the heavy duty powder coat and so I wanted to get the rubber grip pads so that it was functional and also looked better. Here is a link to them at Harbor Freight. They didn't stick with the self adhesive and so I just peeled it off and used gorilla glue to attach them to the step plates. They fit great (just used a knife to cut them down a bit for length, but the width is exactly right) and look wonderful. And, with the gorilla glue, they aren't going anywhere for a long time. I highly recommend them. The Tyger step rails are much preferable to me than the predators because they don't cut much into my clearance and provide much more protection than the predators (since they have a full 2 inch tube at the base that protects the rocker panel, and also are 6 inches wide and so protect the door from other cars and such). They are simple bolt on with the predrilled screws in the rocker panel. I used blue threadlocker and 5/16 rubber washers to protect from any metal on metal rubbing. It took about 30 minutes to install them and with the rubber tread pads, they look amazing. Much tougher and beefier than the predators.

Here is a link to the steprails themselves:

Cement Grey is probably my new favorite Color. Great choice and best of luck with your new Rig. May i ask, are those seats stock for 2021 or are they seat covers?

Thanks so much! Yeah, I am really happy with the color and how it all came together. They seats are the Clazzio seat cover (leather kit). There is a discountcode for it "(Tacomaworld" if I remember correctly) that saves you $100 at clazzio.com, so I got these for $598, which is $4000 cheaper than the stock leather "premium" package from Toyota (of course that also gets you a sunroof, which I didn't want, and an upgraded stereo, which I didn't care about, etc.). I actually think that this kit looks better than the stock leather because you can customize the insert color and the stitching color, etc. I found this kit (black with dark grey insert and light grey stitching) premade and so I got it from Clazzio 4 days after ordering it! I love them. They took about 3 hours to install, but they fit like a glove and look and feel amazing (they are very padded and so it actually helps the comfort as well as appearance) - plus they smell amazing (new truck and new leather . . . can't beat it!).

Great color choice on the Clazzio's, I've got the same combination. But had to wait about 9 weeks for special order. o_O

Wow! Yeah, I got mine in like 4 days since they were one of the "in stock" options. I love them (though I ripped the dumb seam on the back of the drivers seat cushion because I had to cut it an inch in order to get around the wire running into the seat. I sewed it back and may have to remove it and have it machine sewn if it doesn't hold. But, for right now, it is great!

Truck looks amazing. I just bought a 21 as well but in black. In the photos in your original post here was the truck lifted or just the new tires added (265/75/16) ?

Thanks so much! So, the initial post was just with the new tires, but without the lift. Here is a pic now with the lift installed. Truck with Bed tent.HEIC.jpg

    Nice looking Tacoma!

So that's the 2 inch lift? Did you have to modify the front wheel wells or anything else affected by the lift?

yeah, 2 in lift in front (Eibach pro at lowest clip) and a 1.5in progressive AAL (Wheeler's Off road) in rear. I also added a 1/4 inch spacer on the drivers side to correct for any lean. No rubbing at all and I didn't modify anything else for the lift except for adding a diff drop (which was optional but I did it at the recommendation of Toyota). Anything under 2.5 inches doesn't need new UCAs or extended brake lines, etc. And I just wasn't ready to do a CMC on my brand new truck. So, this looks great (in my opinion), gives me extra capability, and didn't require any other modifications that I was hesitant to do.

    Clean. I love it.

I gotta ask... tire size/psi/hows the ride on road?

Great question. So, I run 36psi on the road (and drop to about 25-28 when I am offroad). The ride is excellent. The Eibach suspension is amazingly smooth!!! Seriously. Much better than the stock OR Bilsteins. The MPG is also really good (which doesn't seem to be the case for folks who go up to 285s). I get an average of about 20.5mpg (about 18 in city and 24-25 on hwy). All around, I am very very happy with it. Definitely doesn't ride like a "lifted truck." But it still performs like one!

I'd be riding on stock Bilsteins for the foreseeable future. KO2s have always been on my list of tires to try, but if the ride is bone crushing...

But for real... clean truck. Dig it.

I have had KO2s on several of my trucks over the years. I love the ride. I genuinely don't understand folks talking about them as being rough. Stay away from mud terrains whatever you do (unless you are ok with a very rough ride). But, yeah, the KO2s are awesome on road and off. I am even planning to put them on my wife's 4runner (and she is VERY particular about the ride). Seriously, can't go wrong with the KO2s. Good luck! Throw some pictures up when you get a chance!

would you say that the seating position is as cose as it will get to the T4R? my wife has a 2020 T4R and i looooove the seating position because it is better on my back and overall more comfortable.

If it is, maybe it's time for me to do this mod too

    Great looking truck BTW!
