I've got a 2018 TRD Sport 4x4 that's completely stock. My only complaint is how stiff the ride is, and how I can feel every bump on a road.

Would replacing my shocks with Bilstein 4600's soften the ride enough to be worth the time & expense?

    Thank,
    Mack

Go to BST and get some cheap OEM offroad shocks. Soften it right up.

You could let some air out of your tires.

Same here it rides like a buckboard.

Before you go swapping out parts, try a test drive without the sway bar. It is easy to remove.

My tire pressure is at ~26 psi and it feels much better than anything over 32.

Still stock suspension, tires, and wheels.

Install TRD OR Bilstein takeoffs and it will soften the ride, but this swap will introduce nose dive while braking.

Funny, I bought the Sport for the ride. On the road it keeps me interested and on my game, attuned to what is going on, I find it a blast to drive. :burnrubber:

Sports car, well no -- but maybe just a little closer than the average pick up truck.

Disclaimer: We use this truck for road trips but not off road trips.

A pair of quickrete sacks in the bed will soften it right up.

Replacing the Hitachi shocks with Bilstein 5100s or 6112/5160 would be the most straightforward route. Although I like the pliant ride of the OR shocks I plan to replace them with the 6112/5160 setup eventually.
