Admirer from afar no more. Went down to the dealership and traded in my 2017 absolutely loaded 6” lift F 150 for a 2021 Tacoma TRD Pro in Lunar Rock. I could not be happier with my decision!

I wasn’t sure about the color until I saw it in person, once I did it was a must.

I was expecting it, but they had 4 Tacoma pros on the lot, only one in Lunar Rock. I paid $250 over MSRP sticker, it was a bit of back and forth but I would have paid more if they stuck to their guns. Can’t lie.

The Ford had the 3.5 Ecoboost, max tow, FX4, really nice 6” lift with adjustable reservoir shocks... little things were just off on it. Paint was chipping off in the rain channels, shifting into 4wd was a jolt, the turbo lag was getting worse. Not to mention the value was terrible for what I paid. It was a big truck and I was just over it. My brother in law has a 2016 Tunda TRD Pro and always speaks so highly of it. It seemed a better fit for me as a former Jeep guy (I’ve had 6 Wranglers over the years) but I hate the new Gladiators.

It's a struggle to figure out your favorite TRD color... I love cement and went that direction, but man... The more I see lunar, the more I love it.

Wish it was the manual as I have a 17 year old son which would keep him from “borrowing it”!
