Hey everyone, suggestions on side steps? I’m not a huge off roader (yet), and looking for something black that’ll go nicely with the look of my truck. Fire away...

I like my predator bars. My wife likes them even more.

My truck came with the Predator Steps, but I removed them before going off road for fear of damaging my rocker panels. If you are planning to do any off roading at all, you want to stay away from the Predator Steps as they reduce your clearance by about 3 inches and they are body mounted, so you also risk damaging your rocker panels.

If you do anything, with the thought that you will be going off road at some point, you would be better off to get sliders with a 0 degree off set that can also be used for a step. You do lose a little clearance, but you at least don't risk damaging your rocker panels and it will also give you a safe jacking point.

Depends on what you want the steps for. I have had the Predator steps on two Tacomas and a 4Runner. I obviously like them and use them getting in and out. They work well as a step for me and my family. I don’t really go off road so damaging them isn’t a concern for me.

Thanks, I’m pretty much in the same boat. Can’t see myself off roading to be honest.

I got these when I got my truck. They are Tyger brand and I’ve been very happy with them. The finish is solid and haven’t seen any rust in the few years I’ve had them. Just came back from beach so there’s some sand on it.45EA4BED-DFC7-4B45-AD40-A8FFC3039C67.jpg

I like these. I’ll check out the website...is there a product name? Or just Tyger running board?

I got it off Amazon. It should be the Tyger Star Armor running board for Tacoma. In my case it was for the double cab.
