Hi all, was wondering if anyone here has owned a white tonneau cover. I am considering between a black vs a white Peragon and am wondering if the white would make a difference with heat reflection on hot/sunny days. I have a white truck so it will match even though I think the white would look kind of tacky over a black one, but if it will prevent me from being able to bake cookies in the bed it might be worth it. Would appreciate any thoughts or anecdotes. Thanks!

White will be cooler in temperature than black.

Haha, while some may view baking cookies in your truck as a plus I need to clarify I prefer a cooler bed.

    To each their own comfort.

    I prefer a warm bed.

In truth, yes white will reflect more sunlight than black. While white will absorb heat less than black, both will heat up when sitting in the sun.
A white car will be just as hot as a black car after a few hours. The black will heat quicker, but both will settle within a few degrees of each other.

Now, the white will also show the dirt much sooner than than the black. Although, both will always show some level of dirt.

I suspect you are looking for deciding difference, there really isn't one. The decision is really on which you prefer.
