    with the folks I deal with -yeah. i gotta do it. no one tells these folks no.

    at my last job is always irked me when one of the sales guys would come down and tell me "you have to be nice to this person, they're going to build 2168464 houses with us so we want to make a good impression." so I'd point out a job that was a one off, home owner playing GC and ask "does that mean that I can be a jerk to this guy since he's only building one house?" o_O the volume of business should not dictate how a customer is treated but they though it did. and 99% of the time we'd bend over backwards, practically give everything away and the jerks would still go to our competitors with the bulk of their business. i think it was because they knew the sales guys were lying blowing smoke up their butts the whole time.
