The positive air vent is built into the cap and is a fixed vent. Pictures attached for reference.

The air vent is fixed open however heavy rain water doesn't get in. I did pressure wash the top and water got in through the vent.

How bad was the water in the bed after the pressure wash?

I just got done with an 11 day trip in the Pacific Northwest and zero rain leaks at high speed (75-90)
It is always open and can't be closed. The day after I installed I ran it through and automatic car wash and it leaked through the air vent. Must have been the right angle and the high pressure.

Alright, few things about the EVO.

The latches won't open until worked for a few minutes in cold temps 10° or below and once open they most likely won't close until worked for a few more minutes.

Pressure washers or drive through car washes will most likely leak through the air vent, but heavy rain at high speeds is not an issue.

Condensation is an issue for sure if you are sleeping in the topper, even with the windows open. Obviously that depends on outside temps and how many people or doggos are inside. It will also be hard to insulate it due to all the angles and obtrusions on the interior of the canopy. I do have an idea for magnetic insulation panels so stay tuned for that if interested.

You cannot lock the canopy from the inside although if you shut and lock the side doors from the outside you can unlock and open the side doors from the inside in an emergency situation if you're around 6ft tall with an equal wingspan. Obviously test that before you need to do it. The latches on the back window cannot be shut and opened again from the inside but it does stay put quite well without the latches shut.

Magnets are as useful as I expected them to be.

The windows are nowhere near as big as they look in the photos. Half of the glass on the side doors are covered from the inside.

So far my overall impression of the cap is meh. It looks good and is strong as hell but the fit and finish/hardware is sub-par and not fully to the standard I expected.

That's all I have for now hope this info helps anybody looking for it.
