Just like to say thanks to all the folks who have helped me out over the years, in shopping for, and getting my Tacoma figured out. I researched trucks and saved for the truck for three years. I have come here for ever purchase and general question for since I got the truck.

Little background here. 2017 tan OR with the tech package so it is pretty cushy. I have a great set of recovery equipment, and a hi lift jack with the winch kit. I say I am not "offroading", but as I type this out I realize my truck sees a lot of dirt. I live at the edge of a National Forest, and work for a local federal land management agency (I drive my truck once and awhile on the job). I have lived out of my truck for weeks at a time on hunting trips. On several occasions I have taken ye old poo bear (trucks name), down some roads that no right minded person should drive a 40K truck. The first week I put a scratch down the side from bumper to bumper on a bear hunt. On the same trip we high centered it and had to use old railroad tressels and a stump to slowly lift it with the frecking bottle jack. I did not have a shovel and my friend and I had to use sticks to dig it out. I have really gotten on the truck several times on some nasty stuff, and make made more than one friend grab that little handle.

Still rocking 100% stock suspension, just upgraded the skids. Invested everything into a diamond back tanneau, and recovery stuff (after the hunting trip).

All I am trying to say is I love the truck, and thanks to all the members responding and for posting so much content.

I agree. This forum is great with tons of useless information and knowledgeable members. Get some good life’s with some of the threads as well. Greetings for WA

    Fellow Oregonian here!

This forum is great. Every time I visit I want to upgrade my tires and suspension despite having no need for it.

Also a fellow Oregonian. This forum is great tool. There is a lot of knowledgeable folks on this here and a few Dolts. I research a lot and tend to ignore the few who have nothing good to say. Check out the sub forums as well. Depending on what part of Oregon you are in, there are groups who go out and wheel together. Plus pictures of said carnage are always lined and appreciated.

Nope but close, this picture is near White Fir Springs which is south of Desolation Canyon. The wife and I really like the hike to Stein’s pillar too.
