Neighbor owns three gas stations and is classified as a private, non franchised reseller which means he doesn't fly any oil companies flags over his businesses. He buys fuel from the best cost per quarter (three month period) and many times he is buying brand name fuel for his locked in price structure from the distributor. Is there a difference from one brand of fuel or another? I honestly do not know but if it makes you feel better to believe it then it sounds good to me. Either way, I really don't care about brand. Try to rip me off on octane values and then I get bent, but that's a whole other thread.

I don't know about the states, but I know where I am all the fuel comes in as regular then additives are added to make it higher octane and all the gas stations in the region get their gas from the same place. (Shell, Esso, Petro-Can, etc)

All the gasoline from all different companies flows through the same pipeline anyway, its all pretty much the same.
