SR5 grill on SR, Info?

I just bought a 2020 SR, didn’t have the money to buy a SR5 but I really like the SR5 grill instead of the all black SR grill. I’ve seen on the web a chrome grill surround. Is my SR grill and surround one piece or two separate pieces? Can I just buy the chrome surround and just change it out? Is it hard to do? One pic is my SR and the other is a SR5 I copied from this forum.

 

When I did my SR5 Grill, I believe The Chrome piece was separate and you could just swap that out.

 

If you don’t want that chrome trim but just the SR5 grill you can keep your black trim piece. If you want the chrome piece that’s separate with the grill. However I’m sure lots of people will trade their chrome trim piece and possibly the entire grille and trim piece for your all black sr grill and trim piece

You're probably better off trading with someone. Hit up your regional thread, you may find it easier and save money. I have a chrome bezel laying around if your close

 

You won't have a problem trading because most are doing the opposite to get rid of the shiny plastic 'chrome'.

 

I'm just thinking about upgrades I can do, I'm not really sold on the chrome yet.

 

The surround trim and the grill itself are indeed 2 pieces, and swapping the black surround for a chrome surround is easy.

HOWEVER, they made minor changes in 2020. Just enough that a pre 2020 surround won't work on a 2020 grill.

The easy solution there iis to swap both pieces.

 

Here’s the full screenshot of the part, it says it fits 2020. So it should be a direct change out?

 

52711-04050 is the correct chrome surround for your 2020 SR.

I'm using my 2018 chrome surround on a 2020 sr5 grill I got on ebay. Incidentally I have a 2020 chrome surround I'd be willing to swap you for your black surround. I'm in central KY.

 

I have a 2020 sr5 in southern Pennsylvania and would trade my chrome surround for the SR black one. I was looking at buying it so ya I'd be willing to trade.
