So recently I got the Joying Head unit and I absolutely love it. Anyways, the top of the trim doesn’t sit flush all the way, like looking from the top. I was just curious if anyone else with the joying head unit could check the top and see if theirs sits the same. I’m not sure if it was like that with the stock unit, I never checked.

    I have a 2017 off road! Thanks :)

Have you read the joying thread? It shows how to fix this.

But I will tell you here. On the backside of the trim, you need to remove some of the plastic that sticks out around where the radio goes in. Then when installing the radio, put paints tape on the top and bottom of the radio to make pull tabs to pull the radio into the radio hole.

Thank you! Also I did read some stuff but I thought they were talking about the actual bezel around the unit itself, not the plastic.. but I definitely will look back into that. Thank you again!

So pop off the trim, looking at the hole the radio goes into on the trim you will see little "reinforcement" bits. You need to trim these down as they hit the radio itself when you try to install it.

Do you mean the little bits that are on the top and bottom of the joying unit? Or are there more on the actual trim?

On the actual trim thats not fitting flush. No cutting required on the radio.

I circled them in red, I think thats all of them, but just trim, test fit, then trim again.

Sweet! Thanks for adding that pic man. So I gotta do all 4 corners right? Alsooo can you explain the tape thing on how you pull it up? I actually tried that, but do you have to have those trimmed to have the stereo bezel to fit as well?
