Found a set of the old T100/4runner wheels (pictured) locally for a great price. Any idea if they would fit on a 2nd gen tacoma? Would the tpms from my factory wheels fit? I'd love some pictures if anyone is running them.

They fit. Some people on this forum have them on the 2nd gens.

    Mods thanks for removal.

Don't click weird links folks. Stay safe out there.

OP yes they fit, yes the TPMS works, and yes they look hella good IMHO. The offset is aggressive without being excessive. If I didn't need 17" s to clear my brakes I might still have the ones I had on mine they look classic. Stylish but rugged.

Thanks guys, I bought them and have been waiting for the weather to warm up a bit before painting them. Can't quite decide between oem silver or graphite. Good to know they'll look good @Key-Rei.

Graphite looks better than silver on a white truck, IMO.

That's what I'm leaning towards, picked up a can of the duplicolor graphite today to test it out before doing all the work of priming, painting, and clear coating.

I always watch Infinities, Audis, Mazdas, and MOPAR for good looking wheel and car paint combos. Then I check the respective car owner forums to see what paints they are using to touch up their wheels, and/or go through the shelves of automotive paint holding can lids together to find good matches.

I picked up a set of these wheels that had been painted flat black by a previous owner, and I am probably going to paint them a dark medium metallic silver just a hair lighter than my MGM Tacoma.

These are absolutely the best OEM wheels IMO if you want the lightest weight without the expense of the newest TRD pros.

Smart. Any particular paint brand in mind?

Whatever makes the right color? I think I prefer Duplicolor because it is more easily found in person, to get an idea what it looks like before buying, and also to find again for retouch later.

But also Rustoleum, for the same reasons, and there are some less often stocked but well-regarded brands like SEM. I have a list somewhere; I will post it here if I come across it in the next couple days.

And I use this website, or a similar one, to identify OEM colors that I see on the road: https://www.paintscratch.com/paint/chip-repair-car/

I'm actually considering plastidipping and then painting this time around, so I can get an exact desired color and then easily change it later.

Good thread, I hadn't seen the anthracite plasti-dip before. Seems like it would be easier than going through the entire prime/paint/finish process, but I don't have experience with plastic-dip so I'm not sure. This was the thread that I was planning to follow once it warms up enough to paint on the weekends:

A few additions to make me feel cool.

Had these on my first Tacoma back in the day.
