TRD intake and rims on an SR5?

I have a 3rd gen 2016 SR5 access cab.. RWD..
Question.. is it bad if I put TRD cool air intakes and TRD Rims? Is that wrong or??? Need help

I put Sport wheels on my SR5 just because I hated the SR5 wheels and really liked the Sports.

 

Hope not because I swapped my stock sr5 wheels for TRD wheels. Your truck, your choice. Toyota will happily take your money.

 

No problem with those mods in my mind. Just don't put TRD or PRO badging or 4X4 decals on that SR5 RWD.

 

Put whatever you want OP. Ive got an “SR5 offroad” decal on my 4x4 SR5. Felt like it needed some color back there and it does go off road often...

Not gonna get the pro grille though. Although i may buy the 2020 SR grille, looks wicked clean imo.

Your truck already has a cold air intake. Your just paying for a TRD cover and no real performance gain

 

Wrong. TRD Stickers and badges add horsepower.

PM any mod and tell them you want to apply for a part waiver.

 

Don’t do it. You truck was not developed for racing by Toyota Racing Development like mine was. Putting those parts on could be downright dangerous. Your truck will not be able to handle the race-proven performance gains. It may break apart under the strain.

 

Even though my SR5 is Sport rally; It’s not developed for racing??

It's YOUR truck dude. Put TRD PRO stickers/badges on it if you feel like it.

I assume this thread is a joke. Nobody cares, it’s your truck. Do whatever you want. Just don’t put 4x4 stickers and sell it to the next guy as a trd OR 4x4. But, even if you do, and he posts here feeling like an idiot, we will tell him it’s a learning opportunity, and the sr5 is a good truck, and not to worry about it

The sr5 is the same truck essentially, just missing a few items that most don't really need.
