pretty much. I ordered different switches but it comes with wiring harness/relay and switches. Took my time and soldered connections and took me about 4 hours.

I have a 2017 sport 4x4 front and rear locker with 5.29 gears. Local shop installed locker and gears only. The wiring was pretty easy, but my front does not engage. Where can I take it to get it look at??

how are you testing it? Try "locking it" get on some dirt and try turning and slowly drive your steering should kick back pretty good. I had a hard time getting it to lock on jacked up. It takes a good 270 degree turn before it locks.

Also if you do some searched some minor install errors. the new harrops they changed up the harness and there is a part on the really if installed backwards can blow easy. Check fuses and make sure your switch is getting power. The locker itself does not matter which wire is connected so no polarity issues there.

I had mine connected to a switch pro but recently just removed it to the included OG switch. The main thing is really running the switch so make sure all that business is working. But yah testing the front was annoying.

    Jacked up.
Front harness was installed the same way like the rear. There’s power running all the way to the locker connection, but I have not tried to see how much voltage the locker is getting. My switch light turns on..does that mean theres power in the switch..?

As stated, for the Harrop you need to rotate the carrier through the driveshaft to get the mechanism to plunge the dog clutch into engagement. You will continue to see an open diff if you are just spinning a wheel by hand.

Basically a Harrop needs rotation of the carrier relative to the axle housing to engage once energized whereas lockers like an ARB or the stock Toyota e-locker needs relative rotation of the side gear to the carrier.

When I tested mine, I jacked all 4 wheels up off the ground on jack stands. put it in 4lo 1st gear. Engaged both front and rear lockers got out and tried to stop one wheel by hand front and rear, can't do it (lockers working yay). do same test with lockers off and can stop one wheel from spinning.

I have been talking with east coast gear supply about one of these Harrop units for the rear end of my truck, also plan to do the front, but not at the same time $$$$! Reading the posts, and then sales a ECGS, I am confused on the rite locker for my truck! Coming to Canada, so getting the wrong one would SUCK big time!
my truck is a 2007 tacoma 4x4 trd sport sr5 (v6) automatic ECGS said to order the HAR-T100 for the rear, and the HAR-T8CS-3 for the front, anyone here have the same model truck and this is what they bought and installed?

Thinking about the Elocker for my rear as well. Would love to see some 5 year reviews out there. I'm well aware of the minor disengagement from moving the truck different directions but after studying this I find it to be a nonissue for me. I am mainly interested to see how long they're holding up.

Installed these myself (DIY) along with 5.29 in the front and rear of my 2021 SR (8" rear). I certainly do not have a long term review yet but... I have used them both quite a bit. I have done some of Moab and pretty my all of the Big Bear trails with a few others thrown in. Probably have about 6K miles on the diffs/lockers. I really like them. They engage quickly and easily and disengage the same. I have had no issues with the lockup time of the diffs in either the front or the rear. In general, so far, I find them awesome. I hope they last as long as the Sons of Liberty!

Did you have to shave down inside the front diff housing to fit the fr locker? Read something about that awhile ago with the Eaton.

Sure did... It was pretty clear how to do it in the instructions provided. I also went thru several of "ZUKs" write ups on the installation. He is REALLY good but you have to look at several of his write ups to get all of your questions answered. The light machining of the case was no big deal and zero compromise to the integrity of case. The install on the front took quite some time and patience though.

did some rock crawling a couple weeks back. harrops would not engage front or rear. did some diagnosing the other day voltage is getting to the units correctly, just seems sometimes it takes them multiple revolutions to engage, and some times they just wont engage, have to reverse, forward a few times mess around a bunch and theyll lock in. seems like a lot of messing around to get them to engage properly absolutely 0 chance I'd trust engagement in the middle of an obstacle. starting to understsand how they work better, kinda bummed tho. maybe I need to engage them here and there more often and they are getting stuck?

How often do you engage the lockers? Is rig also your daily driver? Seems like once I get them to engage they stay engaged I just have to mess around a bit to get them to. But my rig is my DD and tens of thousands of miles sometimes between activating them so maybe I need to periodically flip them on here and there to keep them working.
