Would be nice setting up a thermometer for the shell and tent area. One near the driver corner, tailgate side. One inside the tent somehow that can stay when shutting and opening the tent.

I used the SensorPush inside my black GFC and truck cab, just to learn what the temp differences were. It got up to 130° in the GFC during summer

ah good idea. I almost bought that for something else. Work pretty good? Last year camping on the white rim trail averaging 100+ I can imagine what my shell was. I had to sleep with all the doors open which sucked due to the Mosquitos.

I'd prefer a digita read out.
Something like a voltage read out over here actually. Then one in the tent that can stay in. I just dont like to fiddle with phone when camping. Quick visual look.

Cant find anything in the 12V voltage readout gauge style. That would be prime.

Thought there was a skirt here over the extrusion ??
If you get hit by some rain on the side for a day where does it go?
Does it pool up at the tent/extrusion connection?

Good question. They noted the material is the same used in Sails so it should be pretty resistant but good question for them. That would suck if you woke up in a pool of water or it got into the bed.

You just old school. I love having access to Bluetooth via phone or head unit. I do like to have digital read outs too. A digital for the rear but also having the bluetooth would be a nice add.

They work great, I’ve employed them in other areas as well and I like being able to compare historical data in the app later. I just found a new idea for screens, which I’ve never done on any campers but I plan to on the X1...

That would be ideal for immediate read outs. May just stick a digital piece somewhere in there for that, like so:

Nice! Yah I do like the history and tracking of things. But to @frenchee ' s point a nice digital read out is nice.

Just saw this one but looks like it combines both and is cheaper. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08CGM8DC...uPWNsaWNrUmVkaXJlY3QmZG9Ob3RMb2dDbGljaz10cnVl

Yeah I'm not agaisnt tracking and recording but something simple that can be tucked away in a visible spot. So when I wake up and pop the hatch I'm like "ok its 35F right now", thanks and thats that.

My November 6th install date was pushed back to the 11th now due to delays sourcing parts unfortunately.

    Close!!!
Oof, not a fan of the moving date for planning.
@nudavinci64 we might be better off waiting until they are fully complete and asking for a firm date.

Nice find. I guess just turn it on when you're using the truck since battery powered.
Looks of reasonable size as well. Whatever I come up with I'd like to mount it so it doesnt look out of place in the camper.

Thinking about it, maybe one that can do two temps, with a probe. Like outdoor temp and indoor shell temp. (my first gen doesnt have a temp readout in dash)

This might fit. No backlight tho I dont think

This is a common thing with wedge campers and many hard shell RTTs, it should be handled by some sort of drain along the inside edge of the extrusion.

According to Roaming Lost's blog, there's rain gutters in the aluminum extrusion.
