I'm looking to get into overlanding in the future but for now I want to take some off road trails in my tacoma. I am reaching out to see what you guys think a stock 2020 trd off road is capable of as well as small upgrades you think are needed right of the bat. Aside from recovery gear I was thinking about some K02 tires that fit with stock suspension, maybe some skid plates and rock sliders. What are your thoughts ?

I've been down medium to difficult jeep trails in Ozark national forest. I was really surprised what this truck can do with decent tires(Falken Wildpeaks). I used 4lo and the locker for some mud pits and river crossings. On the steep parts I had to get out and stack some rocks but the clearance on these trucks are really good.
