Thanks! I tracked a pair down and have the UCAs installed, they are awesome!
Made my wheel alignment go really well.

Hey Adrian, shoot this suggestion up the pipeline. We love your upper control arm DJ retrofits and we want a lower control arm Delta Joint retrofit of the FK uniballs for aftermarket control arms!

You do not take the UCA off to replace the uniballs with the Delta Joint.

I installed mine in August 2020 and have about 5K miles on them. There is no squeaking. However, there seems to be the typical uniball sound to the DJ.

it may squeak like mine after 60k. I've used lithium grease on the bushing zerks but from my understanding around 60k everything needs to he replaced by then. I do have some delta joint ball play as well.

Thanks to this thread, I was able to press these in today. Using the Autozone ball joint loaner tool kit with some sockets.20210718_144234.jpg 20210718_135527.jpg

Anybody have issues with these going out fast? My icon delta joint on my driver side has gone out after about a year and I greased it pretty regularly. Then my right side has rusted pretty bad. Overall pretty bummed about the quality I received compared to the other brands on my other vehicles. To make it worse they will not honor the warranty because I have billstein shocks installed.

No issues, no rust with mine but we are spoiled weather wise in CA. BTW, what are the symptoms of the DJ going bad?

It has a ton of left and right play. You can Jack up the truck and push and pull at the 12 o clock wheel position and you can see the ball moving back and fourth. It’s really loud as well.

So you need to buy a special kit (614518) to remove the uniballs from a tubular arm and a different kit to install the deltas (614519)?

How have people been able to use a ball joint press and the delta joint install press tube from Icon to install the DJ? There is not enough spacing for the ball joint press to accommodate the tube, DJ and UCA. Also please don't say "just remove the UCA". I don't know how anyone else's 2nd Gen has room but my UCA bolt will not come out without removing 8 other things and the battery (and that is just on the drivers side).

I've installed about 30 sets of UCA on 2nd/3rd gen tacomas and never had to remove a battery. Unclip some wiring, remove a 10mm bolt to remove a wiring bracket and bend the fender apron back. Passenger side is less stuff to set back. Would be much easier to press a ball joint off the truck, but I'm sure it can be done on the truck.

Finally got around to putting these on my TC UCAs. However, the bearing bore on the control arm is about an 1/8" bigger than the delta joints. What am I missing? I purchased the 614560 kit, but I do notice the serial printed on the top of the delta joints differs from the ones in this thread. I show 157517BJ K20, not 157517DJR F18.

...I just busted out the calipers and measured. The deltas I have are 2" across...something must've been mixed up somewhere.

Geez Superdave that is a lot of UCA's you've installed.
I was able to do the install of the delta joints with the UCA's on the truck, but did run into an issue with the press adaptor tube from ICON. It was about a half inch too long - the end of the delta joint was a good inch from the end of the tube. I say a half inch because I couldn't fit the press, tube and joint on the UCA. Curious if anyone else had that issue?
I remedied this by using some pieces from the press kit and the 2 old uniballs (as a spacer/"tube") to get the joints in place.
So far liking the peace and quiet the delta joints are providing.
