On a more helpful note, what region of the SLC area? In the valley itself, or are you lumping Provo, Park City and Ogden in the SLC area as well? That'll guide our answers.

haha. beat me to the joke.
but in all seriousness...welcome. tell all your friends it sucks to live here. ;P SLC has some good spots. I'm not SUPER familiar with specific areas or most of the slc area. I know about millcreek, holladay, sugarhouse being decent places. or if you go down south, you can find good places as well. depends on where you want to live in the valley.

It looks like a mounting plate. How was install and do you have issues with rattle?

Yeah, it looks like a sweet set up. Since it all attaches to a plastic bezel, then I’m guessing over time it’s going to rattle.

Rattling drives me crazy. My passenger side seat belt rattles like a MF.

The valley is pretty compact so unless you're working up by the U or in the heart of Daybreak, you can pretty much live anywhere and have a short to not-unreasonable commute. Generally east side of the valley costs more than the west side for housing.

West Valley City / Kearns / Magna is the only real area I'd steer you away from for housing. That said, the seediest parts of SLC are still better than the average parts of LA, etc.

As far as toyota enthusiasts...oh, we got those for every model and trim you can dream of plus some you didn't even know existed. :D

Zero rattle. It has several (8) flush bolts with nyloc nuts that bolt to the radio bezel. Then there's 6 different locations you can mount things to. Most common is to mount a ram ball and then your options are wide open, but you can mount anything that mounts with a single bolt. Here's a pic of mine, you can see the flush bolts on either side of the different mount locations. There's also a little notch on the plate so you can run your cords behind the dash and not have them hanging if you want. I like that you can quickly remove the mounts and you would never know the plate is there.

I like it. I almost have myself convinced that I need it.

Thx for the pic. The setup looks good. I watched the install vid on their website. It didn’t look too bad. But, I do have a way making easy things hard.
