I had my BR UCA's installed and I've been spraying the Dupont teflon. How often should I be lubing the uniball?

I bought mine at Lowes. I guess they have a contract and they're the only ones that carry the Dupont teflon spray

I hear Lowes has it, or Bike shops. I bought a couple of cans from Amazon.com. It delivered a day after I ordered it.

Get them. They have 1st gen.

I would spray them when ever you know you will be doing a lot of driving and turning. Don't just spray them and park.

Go to Lowes and get the Dupont Teflon

So lowes is my only choice? The closest one is like 70 miles away. Does anyone know of another place that sells it? And by the way thanks for the deal tri. I will post pics of the install when I learn how to post pics.:p

No problem on the hook ups.

    Amazon carries it.

I am sure there are other brands but this works very well for me.

Basically a dry silicone would work. Teflon is TM by Dupont I believe.

Bicycle shops have dry teflon lube. Its popular on chains. A couple different brands are usually available. One is Finish Line. The other is Tri-Flow. I'm not sure if Tri-Flow is teflon but it is a paraffin dry lube and I know many use it for uniballs. Wheelersoffroad.com even sells it on their UCA page.

Yeah they give you more travel for extended coilovers. They don't make them for 5 lug yet

Well...I got my BR UCA's today. To say the least...I'm not very happy! The steel sleeves that go into the bushings are not machined correctly. The bolt is nowhere near close to fitting into the sleeve.:mad::mad:

Contact the shop if you have a problem. They will make it right. Weird things is that everyone I know had nothing wrong with them. Like I said I've had them since April and nothing wrong and there are plenty of people on here that can vouch for that.

I ordered mine. Paid with my credit card. When I checked my bank account I found that they charged me $564.44. That is like $75 in shipping. I live in NJ, Doesn't that seem like a lot for shipping? I hope they are not one of these places that gives you a "lower" price and jacks up the shipping to make up for it. I hate places like that!!! I make it a point to tell EVERYONE when I find a place that does that.

Nothing personal but I'm guessing this is user error. I admit I was confused at first too (especially since they didn't have directions included). One of two things probably went wrong. First, have you noticed the top and bottom misalignment pieces are totally different sizes? Second, mine were machined to such tight tolerances that even when I did figure it out, they wouldn't go together until I added some assembly lube.

Edit: After re-reading your concern, I see you were talking about the sleeves and the bushings. I didn't read carefully and assumed you were talking about the uniball pieces. I'm guessing you haven't replaced/installed too many bushings in the past. Sleeves never fit easily into bushings and bushings never fit easily into their collars either. It is all made extremely tight on purpose. Shops typically press this stuff together with a hydraulic press. I did these with a little grease, a rubber mallet, and a block of wood. Be sure to use wood and rubber to prevent damage. Haha, he said wood and rubber. You could probably press it together with a large vice too. Just use some lube. Haha, he said lube, too.

Wait a minute. I just read it a third time. What damn parts are you talking about. Which bolt won't go in the sleeve? The foot long one that mounts it to the truck or the short one that mounts it to the spindle?
