    Wonder why the tread depth though. The carcass is where the weight is at rather than the tread. My C-range Ridge Grapplers are 16/32 The MTR C-range is 19/32. All I can think of is possibly for road noise? My Ridge Grapplers are very quiet for a hybrid type tire.

    There has to be some discrepancy on the weight lol. I made the switch from E Wildpeaks to C recently and they're definitely lighter. Rides a little nicer as well. Are the sidewalls stiffer as well? I feel my cornering is a little sloppier than usual.

    On dry pavement, the improvements are negligible. It may even make it worse and cause tire wear issues.

    Wet, it could possibly make a slight difference but it's not enough to spend the extra cash on them.

    If you want them siped in Tacoma, try Tiny's Tire Center off of 108th and Pacific Ave. Small mom and pop tire shop I used to work for back in college and the co-owners Kurt and Jr are real down to earth folks.
