Solid Tonneau, running boards

Has anyone had trouble activating the touch door lock using the handle and the Fob also taking a couple of tries to lock. The battery has been replaced in the Fob with the same result. The unlock feature using the door handle works fine

Tried that but it's still hit and miss if it's going to work then when I use the Fob, even that seems a little slow to activate
