Mint gets the Mint! usually. Reminds me of FB marketplace where someone posts a price and somebody always has to criticize the price. Like - dude - just cruise on by. We now know you don't have the money ;)

How would one go about getting a title?

I’m not interested in the truck, just wondering what that process would be for something that has a title but probably at the owners place who probably won’t want to give it up.

are you high? I mean, I am due to the Norco, but 22k for a standard cab 4cyl with bench seats is ridiculous. There better be a bunch of other good stuff in that storage unit...

Also, this "storage unit" bit seems a little fishy to me.

In NC you go through a bonded title process pay some monies and then will get issued a title once the process is complete. Getting a vehicle from another state and doing it idk if that would create more issues or not.

Oh yeah, I used to watch those storage unit shows. I just mean why advertise it as a storage unit? Just sell the truck on it's own, in the vehicle section, or take it to bring a trailer.

I 100% wouldn't want any of the shit in the storage unit anyway, if there is even anything else included.

So I wouldn't pay that much; I'm judging based on auctions/sales that have appeared online regarding ultra low mileage 1st gens.

Ideally I'd want an 01 through 04 single cab V6 4x4 stickshift with power windows/locks/locker, etc.

I would really not be surprised to see that truck go for over $25-30k.

Its crazy to see what a good condition, low mileage older vehicle can go for. If you're in doubt, browse Bring A Trailer for while, and see what people are willing to spend.

That would be a true unicorn indeed

v6 was only in reg cabs through 1997, dunno if any of them ever came with lockers either...maybe before the TRD days when you could add it as an option

But you bought a 4runner instead.

    :luvya:

For sure, that would make a good base platform for a trail rig, but you could build a full caged rig on 40s and tons with a brand new engine for ~$15-20k. Why spend 22k just to hack it to pieces?

Only real reason to get something like this is to stick it in a museum.

You know my stance on these types of trucks. They all need all the rubber bits replaced anyway, and at this age, they've been completely ignored their entire life. "Ultra low mileage" isn't all it's cracked up to be, and at least for me is NOT worth the premium price.

Get something with 150k miles for 1/3 the price and it'll easily be just as reliable.
