    I screwed up and I ordered a mini USB 12v to 5v instead of a micro. Can I cut the head and wire the micro head onto the mini cable? This is purely for power.

    But as to your original questions, yes you can cut the tips off and splice. Just know it will be extremely thin wire, like trying to solder strands of hair together.
