I was thinking I might put it in the CJ eventually.

 

ahem, before that I completely trashed it doing black loop with less than 5,000 KMS on the truck


Then I thought it would be good idea to have dedicated rock crawler...

Then I went stupid and sold it and now prepping to chop what is absolutely nothing wrong with - just to make it more ugly and less reliable! Only then to complain how Yotas not reliable!

Novak Conversions has a pretty slick adaptor kit to mate it to the original gear driven Dana 20 transfer case. I’d likely go that route and a GM small block V8.

 

Hooooly throw back lol good times. It would have been a good year to go back with no tourists from outside of the country there.

Depends on volume and type of material. For a few feet, Metal Supermarkets. For larger quantities, there's Boss Steel in Richmond Hill: https://www.bossteel.com If you need actual aircraft-grade chromoly or aluminum, there's Aircraft Spruce in Brantford: https://www.aircraftspruce.ca/menus/me/index.html

Metal Supermarkets is somewhere between a Snap-On truck and Toyota dealership parts counter in ripoff intensity, but they do cater for small quantities, and there are 6 stores in the GTA.

Primed and painted said bracket for final installation. Also replaced the battery with another Optima Red 35 as a precaution before winter, because the old one is more than 5 years old:

 

Installed Archive Garage rear wheel speed sensor skids. Surprising how much dirt is trapped in the sensor connector!

 

Very cool...

 

Still on the lookout for strong front wheel sensor skids.
