At work I found a shark fin mount antenna that is about a foot long on a car going to auction. I grabbed it and I cannot install it as the threaded portion is far too short. I stripped off the rubber base and there is a spring below it. This would be a great antenna for my truck is not only would it be short but it’s also spring mounted. I think it would look fantastic but I’m trying to find a way to lengthen the threaded portion to fit in the truck. It’s a standard M8 thread Like the Tacoma antenna but it just needs to be longer. I’ve looked everywhere online for An m8 female to M8 male adapter with a longer thread but can’t find anything. Does anyone have any ideas?
