just another chime in. vF is easy to use, and will ensure everything in the future for you is seamless if you continue to stay on top of your truck's stuff. it's worth the $79 and dongle trade. it will just be a bit inconvenient to wait for the trade, but 04B14 plain will to you right in the meantime.

If you do a dongle trade it’s $0. Dongleless upgrade is $79

So, for someone on stock 0B14 this is a $380 package which then gets us a dongle? Dongle serves as license key and hardware to connect to the vehicle and all future updates are included?

Then submit requests for specific tune files which are tied to the ECU and stock flash?

And the difference vs stock for MT is significant?

No. The dongles are dead. OVT wants them off the streets and is why no new tunes will come in PCM format.

    Oh yeah. Big time difference.

So $380, flash cable only, first post is out of date, pick octane then pick regular, hybrid or peak as far as performance goes?

And the tradeoff is mostly a trade between performance and fuel economy?

Also options to self tune by adjusting the tables using software for anyone feeling highly ambitious?

The License and Tactrix is $200 + $170. The Tune Pack is another $370.

All tunes are Octane Learning now. The Prem and Reg are just ignition starting points.

If have not found a trade off between power and economy. SFOB is the way.

Yes. The tunes get even better with a few easy edits.

If I flash my truck will that erase any stored settings saved by using sprint booster. Will I need to reinstall my sprint booster and set back to default to load the ovtune pedal settings?

With vF, you can toss that out. The basic tunes will give you different throttle response depending if you are on Base or SFOB or using low or high octane. Beyond that, some tune editing gives you the ability to sharpen the throttle within the maps.

Sprint Booster, Pedal Commander, and Shift Sense (on the AT side) are just not needed any more.

Gotcha, I agree with your statement. My concern is having used sprint booster and set it to my preferred setting, then unplugging sprint booster, that setting is now saved. Once I flash the truck with ovtune will those sprint booster settings be overridden?

    So. Many. Stickers.
Assuming the sprint booster adjusts throttle sensitivity via ecu, yes the OVT should override it (same as flashing to 2.0 overrides 1.05 or whatever)

I believe that SB stores the info in the adapter, not in the ECU as there is no real interface there, just on the TPS, right? If so, the settings should not changed when you flash.

Sprint booster has to be in the path for it to do anything. If you remove SB, the ECU throttle is unmodified.
