    Hey, Folks.

Tuned Edited: 04B14 SFOB Prem on 2017 3.5l V6 MT

This is a simple 3D map edit that was recommended by @OVTune

CTRL + I for the entire map.

A spreadsheet of the edited map is attached.

I will update this thread with more info.

It would be great to know what this map does! :D

this is the edit that really woke up my truck, made the gas pedal feel alive and direct, and brought a very lively throttle response and power delivery unlike any file i ran before. I'll refer to this as ATRA, Acceleration Throttle Request to Airload.

this is on OV2.0 04B14 MT SFOB Prem (93oct) dump tubes.
i have tried many versions and combinations of various map edits and tweaks, including these trial edits:
    - 04B14 ALC map smoothing 800-2000rpm
    - 04B04 ALC maps with @tonered's smoothing edits
    - ctrl-I full PTTT map with two versions, one with column one at zero, another with column one at -5
^ but none of those were any good with my truck.

in my assessments i combined all of those with the keeper 'requisite edits', which for me are:
    - Throttle Mgmt First Gear Throttle Limiters, set to 100% in 2Hi & 4Hi
    - Top Speed Limiter 312kph
    - Torque Model - Torque Calculation Base During Full Throttle - 5000rpm
    - AGM battery edits

in the end after assessing all these versions, the one that clearly stands out is ATRA alone on 04B14 with the requisite edits, not smoothed, and none of the trial edits above... but that's just me.

strong and super direct throttle, closest to cable actuated throttle to date.
i run a custom open flow media-less exhaust, and i think that's a part of my response.
and it's not weird or overly aggressive, easy to drive.

next curiosity is the Acclerator-Request to Airload map (ARA). that one looks like it wants ctrl-I. i'm not expecting improvement, but it looks like a valid experiment. i have this one ready to flash tomorrow, ATRA & ARA both flat.

    from vF:
This table controls the amount of Airload calculated from requested torque(acclerator pedal). Higher values = Higher airload calculations. Note, the ECU may limit throttle to achieve desired Airload.

    ARA unedited:

    ARA after ctrl-I:

and of course the Request to Airload Multiplier, mainly the threshold in that map that is quite interesting (noted that "only used in low load stoic conditions" FWIW).

That is excellent! I am glad that you found this combination!

It is funny how nice it is.

    Great post.

I think I looked at ARA and just stepped away. Hahaha!

I'm curious to hear how it goes. Good luck!

i ran the version above with ctrl-I on ARA this morning for about 20mi, 2 restarts. it's a subtle change from the unedited ARA map, but for me it was a bit less responsive, a little peaky on accel in first, and it seemed engine braking was less. i wanted to run longer to assess it, but by the time i got home after the 20mi it was clearly not as lively and direct as the original. so, back to my golden tune, still with a linear ATRA.

Interesting. All these different requested torques and torque percents, but all of it is soupy ATM. :D

When you guys did the Control I to the ATRA map, had you done any tweaking to it prior? I've raised the values on this map considerably but left a curve to it. I feel little to no difference between this and mine.

    @OVTune what are your thoughts?

i did not do more on ATRA than flattering it, one simple ctrl-i. i thought about it, decided it was good for now (about 2 weeks ago), Mat said new MT throttle related tables are imminent, and my truck got a new round of work including the dump tube and motor mount install. everything has changed for me and the dust hasn't settled, so I'm holding tight from more experimentation for now. I'm still running what i noted above including a flat ATRA.

@tonered is this the linear throttle adjustments others have talked about in other threads?
