My wife got a picture of the guy and the deer, he’s a big ole boy :D

He didn’t even have to hold his arms out straight to make the deer look big

It really is. He tried to get my son to get a picture with it, he told him "if I hold it he won't look as big as if you do" but we couldn't get Cole to do it.

Wife saw a 3 or 4 pt this morning, if it has horns this afternoon it will be shot at, I can almost guarantee that. He's 8 and killed his first one at 7, a button head with his .243, at his age, I don't care what he shoots.

Cole is 8, he’s never shot my muzzle loader. He had to sit on my leg to get up to see. First one he was shaking like a leaf, the deer was 120 yards, and the gun delayed. Deer ran off, came back 30 seconds later and walked down the trail.

Second one was about 25-30 yards and he’s been watching too many hunting shows with me, I didn’t tell him to stop the deer, that was all him. We found no blood, no hair, nothing. I told him he needs to stick to his youth .243 for now, he’s one shot one kill with it.

We had a good time and he got to shoot twice within 20 minutes. I’m going in the morning to the same spot and see what happens. Supposed to be 34°.

Two different ones. I was hoping he would get either one of them, come rifle season the 14th he’ll get him one or two. We can kill two bucks a piece.

The closer one was prob a low shot. The video kinda looks like it ran funny but if no blood or hair id say clean miss. Kinda humbling experience at any age. He'll appreciate your time later.

We had a great time and made some memories for sure

When I was eight I’d be lucky to see two deer a year much less get to shoot at one.
