Does anybody have any experience fitting a rear facing car seat in a 3rd gen access cab? I know it is far from ideal, but just wondering if it is possible for short trips, and which models may be better.

My wife has a Outback and most of child transport will occur in that vehicle, but in the event of a time I need to transport a baby in my truck I would like to know I at least have the option.

Overall I do recognize that a full size truck is likely in our future, but I'd like to hold off until the Tundra gets a redesign.

Ive seen a few pics on here of it. Could probably fit in the center. I have a britax marathon click something in my double cab that is pretty small.

I would try passenger side, with the seat all the way forward. Also, you used to be able to go to some of the places that sell car seats and try them in your vehicle. It might be worth calling one or two of the stores (BuyBuyBaby comes to mind near me) and see if they still offer that.
