It’s a conspiracy I tell you. Forced compliance with current fashion trends. Get your tin foil hats and head for the basement!

Thanks! I was torn on just leaving them off. I mostly just wanted to get rid of the red though to keep with the lighter blue accents across the truck.

I used to do that. Now I mow them and tell myself free lawn fertilizer. 4 weeks I could have 6 inches of snow already.

Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!
Not this weekend, maybe next. Previous 2 years I took it to a shop and had it done. First year they did a really nice job, second year not so much, so decided to do it myself. Picked up a gallon of FF and one of these on sale at HD:

Did you cover the brake rotors/calipers when you did yours? Any helpful hints?

Didn't cover anything. No issues. I tried to stay away from the exhaust and the rotors and calipers but didn't need to cover anything. The tips I can give are: wear old clothes, use ramps for more headspace (unless you have like a 6" lift), have a work light to help see where you have already coated, coat drivetrain, front and rear ends, all suspension, brake lines, floor pans, under the rocker panels and especially the frame (inside and out)! Be sure to drop the spare and that will give you tons of room for the back area of the truck. I also coat the spare wheel and the chain/pulley. As a bonus, top off the spare tire pressure! I even drilled into the doors and sprayed into and plugged the holes.

EDIT: Pick up a can or two of FF for some hard to reach places. Some places will be too tight to get with the sprayer!

Side note: I see you are in Illinois. When using the bulk FF, you may have to warm it up in colder climates to get it thinned out. I also read to mix in a little cooking oil to help and that worked for me. It was around 45-50 degrees here when I applied it.

    Thanks for the tips!

Door bottoms are important. I was going to do it myself originally, before I found a shop that would do it. Read up on FF and watched all the vids I could find. One thing that bothered me was one guy reported having his rubber door seals swell to the point they would no longer fit in the channels, so they all had to be replaced. I called tech support for FF and asked about this. The guy said that, yes, rubber that is not oil/gas resistant will swell and for the doors he recommended using the extension hose on the can, feed it all the way in first, then start spraying while pulling the hose out quickly. The idea is to get as thin a film as possible in the doors. The viscosity of FF goes down as the temperature goes up. When it gets hot outside, the FF will run out the drain holes and possibly hit the rubber seals.

Any Fluid Film users here ever have a problem with this?

This is good to know. Thanks!

<edit> On the plus side, forecast is for 60s to 70 degrees F here through next weekend.

The Rag Company does mystery boxes from time to time. They offer a Tier 1 and Tier 2. This one was Tier 2 for $100. I was pleased with the selection

I’ve been reading and getting ideas since I bought my truck in April, but this is my first time posting. So far I’ve added gray Carhartt seat covers and the Drop Stop between seas and console to keep the french fries from falling down there. For convenience, I added the glove box and console organizers I read about on here. I bought the AVS vent visors, but haven’t installed them yet. This past week, I had the front door glass tinted with ceramic, bought a horse stall mat & cut it to fit the bed, and started my rear seat delete & platform build. I’m gonna ride with it as is to see if I’m happy with it b4 I paint it. I used the factory hinges so I can still access the factory storage bins. I’m thinking I may add another level for more enclosed storage.
