I have a 2020 TRD OR that's mostly stock. With the Mobtown sale right now, I am looking at getting some overland sliders. I'm considering ordering a skid plate to bump me over $1000 to get to the next discount bracket. I won't do much, if any, rock crawling, but it could be nice to have for the occasional tree stump or whatever. I guess I could also just get the slider fill plates as well to get into the next discount bracket.

With the pricing and the way the brackets are set up, a front skid would essentially cost ~$175. A t-case skid would cost about $125.

Since I have the stock OR front skid, if I am only getting one skid plate, where would my money be best spent? Front, T-case, fuel tank, or tranny skid? (I have a stick, so it sounds like the tranny skid would be a pretty low priority since I guess it has more clearance than the A/T).

Edit: ordered the sliders and front skid.

The factory skid is made of paper so ide probably just replace it with a real one. The front end is usually what makes contact first, unless you plan on sliding your whole truck over rocks.

I am on their site right now and don't see anything about a sale.

Is/was there a coupon code for their overland sliders? I thought they had one for the OL sliders.

Looks like it’s for anything. 10-20% off depending on how much you spend

Yea, only posted couple hours ago. Maybe they just haven’t gotten around to it. Or it’s a secret

Thanks the rationale for the front skid makes sense to me. I probably don't need it, but for $175 its hard to pass up
