Makes you feel better haha I believe it changes shift points a little, like if you do the speedometer calibration it brings shift points almost perfect.

Mild + Wild average mpg for a trip to work. Mostly hwy. Add 8.5% for the larger tire correction as well as I'm not recalibrated.

So 20.5 mpg on 33s stock gears and a rolling weight of 5200#

I asked through zendesk and you need to purchase a new tune pack, so I decided not to upgrade. My thought is that the tune probably takes care of the transmission issues the TSB is supposed to address. Who knows though. I would like input if anyone has

Ive been running this tune for about a week now.... This tune by far feels the best atleast for me. The shift points around town are right where they should be, and when you push etc holy smokes. Its great for towing as well, pulling my small jonboat was a breeze. Im pullin atleast 18 mpg’s every time as well

I like the tune that I am running. My part throttle shift points are good. I would like to raise my Full Throttle upshift point about 200 rpm for just the 1-2 shift without effecting my part throttle shifting. Can some on tell what I need to change to accomplish this (screenshots would be helpful) ?

At the right end of the Primary upshift maps will be 4 or 5 speeds of the same value. Increase those. For first gear I wouldn't over 40, that'll be approximately a 7000 rpm shift. 2nd gear you can get away with 80 again, I wouldn't go over that, and third I've personally gone too far... NOT COOL either! Thought I blew the trans or rear end. Stick with 103.5 or less. I had entered 113... Just make sure the highest four or five values are all upped the same. The rest of your shift points (of lesser throttle input) will remain unchanged.

I just installed 2.0 premium + 33" + 4.88 non-THX. Amazing...Its so smooth. Im pretty sure itll only get better as it learns.

Can definitely feel the difference in the low end compared to 1.05.

Are you serious? That is like trying to find something in the Development thread. j/k
Ya, Just Kidding (above). I was hoping you would chime in with some of that MD experience.
Thank you for the guidance. You know what to do and what not to do. Priceless.

So what's the latest and greatest in the 04A61 world? Non-ECU specific, seems like more people prefer a snappy tune in D, extra butt oompf in ECT, and no gear lock. I'm looking to translate that to tangible numbers because I'm on an older shared tune and it's pretty good but I'm not ecstatic about some of the shift points and my gear lock edits don't seem to do much.

I’m with you up until no gear lock. That’s why I’m waiting for Mat’s conclusion tune.

I've quoted a few posts below that link to some of the more recent 04A61 tunes that people have shared (that I'm aware of anyway). Just hit the up arrow next to each name, and it will take you to the post where the file was shared.

I'm currently running @ry18Tac 's "regular" tune and really like it, but I believe that only D-mode is tuned, no extra S or ECT flair... yet.

I haven't tried any of the others yet, but I think we're getting close to the point where I might load a new tune someday soon, and then never load another tune again.

I made this realization this morning. I could throw away my laptop and forget this whole thing ever happened, my truck just works like it should now.

A real testament to @OVTune ’s hard work on this platform.

Of course, now I’m hooked and keep checking back for the latest developments. (SuperFOB for autos?!!)

shouldn't be long on the perf tune for us AT guys. I think he was looking for testers last week so that's a good sign.

i've got a lil trip ahead today (Austin to San Antonio and back), so I'm going to try out @Mooseditty17 's Mild+Wild, will try to report back tonight, since I'm about to fill up a tank of premium and get some accurate MPG #s! GL got annoying not working 100%, so I'm going to stay away from that until they have a better implementation on the next VF update (hopefully?). Also got some friends willing to pay for Tundra and Camry V6 tunes, so I'm going to unlock some new ECUs tonight and start playing around!

Has anyone compared a premium tune to a regular tune yet?
