Alright so I've done my research on wheel spacers and I'm not really too worried about installing them. But I was hoping to get a second opinion on this. Right now my front tires stick out .75" more on each side than the back. So do yall think it would look better to have the front tires poke out more or the same as the rear tires. I'm still on the fence on whether or not I'll add wheel spacers but I'm mainly doing it for the looks of the truck. Let me know what you would do if this was your Tacoma. and here are some pictures so you can see the difference between the two. image0.jpg image1.jpg

Make the back match the front and buy bora or spidertrax wheel spacers

good to know bora is a good choice. If I do end up going with wheel spacers I was going to go with bora spacers. Just wish I could get their 3/4 inch spacers a little faster than 10-12 weeks. does spidertrax make them to order as well or would I be able to get some spacers a lot faster than 10-12 weeks?

I think 1” is the smallest you can get without having to trip the lugs.

yeah I was on the phone with the bora sales person and they said i'd have to cut the bolts down a bit if my wheels don't have space for them to poke past the spacers. I think this should be fine I have 17x9 helo 878 wheels. I can't remember if they have space for the original studs to poke out but I think they do. but if I have to cut them off I have an angle grinder it wouldn't be the end of the world. It would be a lot easier than lifting my truck.

If you're going for looks, why not put some wheels on that keep the tires flush with the fender/flare so they don't look silly sticking out? Your bearings and suspension components will thank you.

Wheel spacers are not bad if you don't go cheap and maintain them. I would prefer buying wheels with offset.

i got a maxtrac spindle lift. that pushes the front wheels out 3/4 of an inch. I have the right wheels (17x9 -12 offset) but the spindle makes the front poke out more than the rear.

Sadly the right wheels doesn't work for this situation :( I got the wheels I wanted, the poke is a little more than I was expecting but not by much. sadly it's more of an issue with the lift kit I got, Maxtrac spindle lifts push the front wheels out 3/4" but doesn't do that for the rear suspension. As far as maintenance goes how should I make sure that I properly maintain the spacers?

I’d just order the BORAs and endure the wait time. They are solid spacers and much better than trusting generic pot metal crap off Amazon.

I run 1” BORA on front and rear of my GX and they’ve been great. Don’t think spidertrax does custom jobs.

also wider front track isn’t going to hurt while you wait. Gives you an LT look if anything.

Yeah, I'm still contemplating whether or not I like the LT look more. And I agree with you 100% I paid way too much on this lift kit to let some crappy spacer fuck up my truck. Definitely going with good spacers. I tried to find some spidertrax spacers in the size I need but it says they don't do custom ones on their website so bora it is.

Yes, the only size available from Spidertrax for Tacomas is the 1.25".

Regardless of why your wheels are out further, why not tuck them back in instead of pushing the rears out to match? I am not familiar with spindle lifts so maybe there is a good reason why this is not an option or a good idea. All that said, I have a set of bora 3/4" spacers that I bought for my old prerunner to clear tundra brakes that I ended up not needing with the wheels I had. They were the smallest spacers I could find that didn't reuse the OEM lugs. you would need to trim your existing lugs to use them but I would sell them for what I paid + shipping if you want them. If interested I can get pics and info. they have never been installed and come with hardware.

huh well I'm not entirely sure if it's possible to push them back in. but when i was installing it there wasn't anything that looked adjustable on it. I think it's just beefier than the original spindle which ends up adding some width as well. I'd definitely be interested in buying those wheel spacers though. I'm a bit strapped for cash at the moment. but whenever I have some more disposable income to play with I'd definitely be interested in them if you haven't gotten rid of them by then. Do they fit on the 6 lug Wheels?

You probably can't push them back in but you could get wheels with different offset to compensate.

Yeah, they are Toyota 6 lug, which has been the same forever afaik. PM me if you're ready to buy. I'll wait a few weeks to post them for sale and give you a heads up first if you want first rights on them.

Dang. Checking on them and making sure they stay torque. Make sure you don't go cheap and all you have to do is keep an eye on them. I have seen race trucks use spacers but they constantly check them.

How would you go about rotating tires with 2 different offsets?

For real though, be very careful using the bed as a measuring device to check your spacing. Check both sides of the bed for the real offset as these beds are notorious for not being centered.
