I have a trip in 2 weeks, I'm running OME Med leaf pack in the rear with 5160 Bilstein. Sitting almost close to level due to having a bed rack and RTT. I know i'm going to sag when i'm fully loaded with gear on my trip.

Soooo question is should I go with an AAL? to make it a HD pack? Or a new leaf pack?(dobinson) or firestones sumo bags?

    thanks DAWGS

I would go for installing an AAL in your OME Dakar leaf pack to compensate for the extra weight. It won't cost you much and can be removed, if you don't like it.

+1 for the firestone ride rite airbags and daystar cradles. I got these when I tow a 2200lb trailer but they've proven beneficial when I load up the bed for a camping trip. I like the flexibility of them. Add the cradles and it's great to unpack and air them down when I hit the trails. I already have a progressive AAL on stock leafs which is OK for day to day -- at some point I'll move towards a proper leaf pack but I'll still have the bags when I travel with a lot of additional weight.
