Similar to that one, this mirrorlure landed me my PR bass. I'm not too experienced with freshwater, but I somehow managed to get a toad.

I don't mind the cold. I just don't enjoy being cold. Cold hands that get wet then the screaming barfies as they warm up. I'll stay in CA and fish in shorts 97% of the year. lol

    My rant:
I usually have four rods rigged with different depth lures and slowly work a area swapping between them to find what's working. Inevitably some dipstick will zoom by, turn around and position his boat 50 feet in front of me and spend the next ten minutes rigging his poles.

This is why I dont fish lakes with boat launches anymore. I dont need to compete with wake boats in my kayak. The few times that I have done lakes with boats in them, I go hang out near the pontoon guys as they are usually just drinking anyways and dont mind me casting near them.

Do you ever fish with corks? My family business is a popping cork company called Legend Popping Corks, we're focused along the Gulf Coast but we're trying to venture into freshwater and other parts of the country. We just came out with our glow in the dark cork a few weeks ago. If you'll use the corks send me a DM and I'll send some out for you to check out.

Interesting, tell me more about fishing with corks... Like is this the same as how I can catch the neighbors wife with a wine cork?

They go by a number of different names such as bobbers, floats, etc. the idea is that you tie your cork to your line, then tie your leader line to the other end of the cork then the hook/bait, cast it out, and shake the cork and the BBs or bearing in the cork mimic the sound of other fish feeding and attracts more fish in. You can see the top of the cork so when it goes underwater you interrupt the fish's lunch by setting the hook.

The main differences between our corks and other corks on the market is they have weight to them so you can cast them out in the wind and still get some distance, I've used foam corks or other popping corks and they are useless unless the wind is at your back. Our corks are also made of thick plastic and you can stand on them and they won't break (I weigh 180, if you're pushing 300 no promises on that!), I've used corks made by other companies and had them fall apart mid cast.

They work really well for saltwater bay fishing but I'm unfamiliar with freshwater fishing so I don't even know if you'd have a use for them, just figured I'd throw in a shameless plug!

Ive got one of these that I think is pretty similar, but instead of being a bobber its the actual bait.
