Only down side is removing them when you need to take out the hvac controls.

the backing plate coop made Shound have double sided tape so it stats put when you remove the mounts

True but I don’t ever see the need to remove the HVAC controls but that is a good point.

Which Ram arm do you have here? Looks like the perfect length.

Although I just loosened the bolts almost all the way, and the 2 mounts get completely out of the way to get the HVAC controls out. I’m not saying my way is best, all I’m saying is I’m not ripping my whole dash apart to put 2 little mounts in. I try to simplify things as much as possible that’s all.

I got mine installed today. Took me 30 minutes. 4 bolts and some gentle prying isn’t too much to ask to make sure these are mounted the best way possible. Thanks to OP for bringing these back!

Looks like you got some good mounting positions, which I am struggling to accomplish with all my sticks. What arms are you using?

I am thinking about getting one or two of these so I have two adjustment angles on each arm:

    https://twistedthrottle.com/shop/el...ion-arms/ram-adjustable-socket-w-oct-sockets/

I currently just have the straight ones in various sizes. I know you can also attach a double ball between two of them but my thought was the above would be more stable. Might try both?

I am just using the smallest arm for the tablet and the middle for my phone or ham radio.
