Need Purchase Advice

Ok experts of TW, I need your advice on a toyota. I found a 1990 toyota pickup but it has 280,000 miles on it. The guy only uses it for hunting and has just recently replaced the distributor and plugs and plug wires and it has brand new bfg all terrain tires. It is the v6 3.0 5 speed and is 4 wheel drive.

He is asking $3000 but i'm going to try to talk him down.

Does it sound like a good truck or should i keep looking?

Keep looking. I personally wont buy anything with 280k....even a Toyota. With that many miles shit will start breaking down, and it just snowballs from there.

 

Thats what i'm thinking and what i'm worried about. Any thoughts on the 4runner in the craigslist link?
