Looking to add 2-3" of lift to my 2015 PreRunner. I'm a novice when it comes to this stuff, hence why I'm here. As the title says, I don't off-road, rock crawl, or do anything but daily driving in my truck. I'm just looking for something that gives a more aggressive stance and looks good. No need for anything too fancy that's thousands of dollars. I've seen Bilstein 1500's, Rough Country kits, and other cost effective solutions, but I don't really know what to go with. Shocks? Spacers? AAL's? Someone throw me a bone here.

My budget sits at around $500 ish. I don't want to have to replace coils or control arms or anything, I'm just looking for the simplest, cheapest, and safest all around kit to get a more aggro look. Whether that's a level or a lift, so be it.

Sorry for sounding like a noob... like I said, I'm new to all of this lol. Thanks for the help!

i highly recommend the Bilstein 5100 kit, its a great strut replacement, gives you a better ride and a little more travel plus increases the diameter of the shock tube for better fluid flow over stock, pair that with a 1in block in the rear and the truck will sit perfect. i install these kits all the time here at Westcott Designs/STATE48OFFROAD and i use to have them on my 2017 TRD Sport, and cutomers really seem to love them as i did!

i would avoid any front end bolt-on spacers, especially from Amazon. ive replaced multiple broken sets over the years from bad welds and cheap materials. not to mention the strain on you upper control arm ball joints that will wear them faster and have too much of a downward angle at normal ride height. plus adding that type of spacer you will need a differential drop kit

The OP does not offroad and has a Pre-Runner. A differential drop kit will not be needed

Don’t forget to put the name of an off-road company after your posts. Typing out credentials shows you’re experienced.

So If I run the Bilstein 5100 kit, can I get away with a 2" block on the rear or will the rear struts not accommodate this? I can go with a 1" or 1.5", but I'll take as much clearance as I can get while not having to replace anything else on the truck.

you can go up to a 2" rear block, bilsteins standard rear 5100 is a little longer than stock and i believe they make a 2-3" longer shock for that purpose as well. However, you may have the "stink bug" raked look/stance with 2" block in rear which is fine but it all depends on your personal preference for how you want the truck to sit.

also enjoy the replies to this thread talking crap about me and not helping you with what you need, people suck!

hope this helps in you decision

When you say "clearance" are you referring to ground clearance, or tire clearance? Lifting your truck won't give you any additional ground clearance - only larger tires will do that.
