    Evening all

When Toyota is replacing the pump, thoughts on asking for the filter to be replaced also? May as well while they are in there, no?

I’m pretty sure new vehicles don’t have fuel filters in/near/on the pumps. Pretty sure it’s just a simple screen filter somewhere in/on the tank that almost never needs to be replaced

This. I believe most cars have a small fuel filter and a fuel sock, but they're meant to last pretty much the life of the fuel sending unit. Gasoline's are high quality these days so manufacturers have gone away from fuel filters. You can always just add one (or more) in line though if you would like. Definitely recommended if traveling outside of the country, particularly south of the border.
