Hey guys so today I received my 2 cable adapters needed to swap my stock 2012 head unit with a 2014 touch screen head unit. After plugging everything into the new head unit I was left with one cable that unfortunately did not plug in no where. At this point I just decided to leave it like that and hope for the best. Seems like everything works out fine besides trying to charge my iPhone which sucks already. I’ve attached a pic of the cable.

I also can’t data transfer my music to the new head unit since the USB port doesn’t seem to work.:pout:

So you replaced your old OEM HU with a 2014 OEM HU with JBL?

That blue plug is for your factory USB/AUX port below (if you have one)

The female piece should look like this coming from the USB/AUX

If you don't have that port then I have another option for you.

Old head unit which I replaced with a 2014 touch screen head unit with non JBL. Before my swap my usb/data cable worked fine. I’m guessing it’s the blue cable that was not compatible with the new head unit.

So you have the male blue cable plugged into the USB/AUX port?

I honestly don’t know where that cable is coming from. All I know is that it used to plug into the old head unit. I’m guessing it’s coming from the USB/AUX because it no longer works.

Oh I see. Yes that blue cable is coming from your usb/aux.

On the back of you head unit, is there a usb port? It's oem nevermind.

Edit: This is the back of your unit correct?

So that blue sucker connects with the gray one. I could of sworn I tried to plug the little blue cable to all the ports that where left.

It should pop in there. Try it and let me know. If it doesn't, I'll figure something else out. :)

Sorry it's been a while since I messed with the oem hu's but I thought I'd try and help you out lol

Thank you Theo. I’ll keep you updated. And take a better picture of the back of the unit if it doesn’t work.

No luck. I can confirm the blue cable does not plug into anything on the new head unit.
