I seem to have some kind of vibration in the dashboard on my 2019 SR5.

It sounds like it's coming from the passenger side, and it's mostly noticeable when the truck is cold, and follows the contours of the road. Basically hear it more on rough pavement, bumps etc. It's not a huge bother, but still a bother none the less.

Has anyone had a similar experience?

Do you think the dealership could track it down? Do they even do that sort of thing? The truck is still under warranty.

    Thanks guys!

I have a similar rattle that comes from the passenger tweeter cover. You can stick a little piece of tape or something to silence it.

Dealer may fix it if they hear it; when I brought mine in for 5k service they couldn't hear it.

Check. Already made sure the glove box was empty of rattly things. It's not the glovebox door either.

Thanks. It does sound like it may be from the tweeter cover, seems to be in that direction. I'll have to have someone push on that next time we are in the truck and see if it goes away.

If they take it for a drive there is no way they can miss it... at least they shouldn't miss it, it's pretty noticeable.

I have the exact same thing, but it comes from my doors. Almost sounds as if the window is moving against the rubber and trim, but also does it when the window is open (although less noticable due to the wind noise).

Passenger tweeter cover. Mine did this when new, only when cold. when the cab warmed up from the heater the sound went away. It's the side of the tweeter cover that faces the passenger A pillar. To fix it i just sanded the tweeter cover down a little bit, then stuck some one-sided sticky soft foam. Boom, haven't had a problem in 3 years.

Same problem and diagnosis in my '17 Off Road. The issue is the inserted divider inside the glovebox (the thing that supports the owners books). I took mine out, cleaned all the edges with alcohol and applied pieces of 1/2" wide x 1/4" thick open cell foam weatherstripping, then stuffed it back into the glove box. This eliminated the noise. I don't doubt it will eventually need to be replaced, maybe with something more durable.

Sounds like it could be the problem as a few people have made mention. Test drive soon with my son and we'll check it out.

What Furball said. Mine does it but only in the winter.

Very common issue for Tacoma’s. I have the same thing on the my ‘19 SR5. The passenger pillar will slightly knock/rub against the dash speaker cover when its cold. When the cab heats up or day gets warmer it totally goes away.
I took a 2” piece of black bootlace leather and wedged it between the pillar and cover and it solved the problem and you can’t see it.
Of course, that silence only made me hear other stuff (cold weather windshield dash rattle) :)
These cabs are so well insulated (coming from a Jeep JK) that it’s easy to hear every little squeak, rattle, or knock. I’ve learned to tune them out and enjoy the ride.
