Will this cause any issue due to the weight, or can the stock support it with no concern?

Thanks man! I have a pelfreybilt cage gifted from another member that I've been waiting to use but didn't really consider weight a factor.

Wasnt there something on these trucks about how the mounting location of the battery on these trucks was pretty weak to begin with and could cause cracking in the sheet metal?
I could just be talking out my ass, but I remember reading about it here.

I would think if you could relocated the battery from the front of the engine bay to the back of the engine bay near the firewall that would be best. But only a option on offroad and pro models.

But it's not because it's a serious question. About to pull the trigger on a 31M, don't want to dive in without a little insight.

The consensus seems that a combination of off-road activity and a heavier-than-stock battery might contribute to this. I believe there are other threads as well.

Has nothing to do with suspension. Difference between a 24F and a 31M is maybe 30 lbs. How much do you weigh in the drivers seat? How much does a full tank of gas weigh?

The core support can be an issue though if you do any serious / harsh off roading. The sheet metal of the core can crack more readily with more weight

I don't do any wheeling since I have a 4x2, but I would like a couple lights when I go camping or pickup logs from a friends property. Concerned now about the sheet metal since I forgot that was an issue.
