The MBRP's are perfect for me. They are light weight and fairly easy to self install, there is a thread on here covering the install. I think they are well worth what they sell for. Yep the shipping is less and they come powder coated, and they look sharp. The BAMF's are going to be heavier duty and the way to go if you are planning on heavy usage no doubt.

They do at our house. Part of the allowance chores. I don’t make make them carry around bags and just generally clean shit up everywhere we go though.

No rock crawling for me. Would be nice to be able to Jack from the side with my high lift and slider attachment I have from an old jeep. Have you tried using them as a jacking point or do they seem like they would fold?

I would bet money that they would hold up as a jacking point, but I would prefer to make that bet on someone else's truck.

I love my Victory Rock Sliders. They’re solid, very solid. Here’s a couple pictures on my truck.

I ordered my RCI Offroad rock sliders (with 5 degree angle + top tread plate) on September 16 and it’s still “processing”.

Hopefully they ship soon, I want to bolt them on already!

Most body armor is built when you order it. Too expensive to have inventory laying around.

That totally makes sense. Do you think ot offers comparable protection?

Not for actually sliding across rocks. Aluminum wont slide as easily because it is softer and will gull. They will still offer more protection than steps, but steel is going to offer more and be cheaper but heavier. Trade offs. You need to determine what your needs are. Always better to plan out your armor before you plan out your suspension because the added weight will make a difference.

So far I'm planning sliders and a front bumper, preferably steel. I'm at the point where I know I'm going to have to upgrade my suspension from the front stock Bilsteins and the rear stock

Yep its a slippery slope. I will stay mostly stock until the factory suspension is shot then do a big overhaul and mod it up. So far my mods are pretty much seat covers, topper, bed rug, bed stiffeners sumo springs. It'll go anywhere I need to, just won't look as cool doing it lol. I did my 4Runner around 80,000 miles with Bilstein's, FJ Cruiser springs, E rated 33" TKO 2s, etc. Went from about 19 mpg to about 12.5 mpg.

I thought about it, but I want to take a cross country trip with the ol' lady and use it to go camping, off roading and overlanding. Bigger investment now, but cheaper vacations in the future!

I appreciate all the info! My only question was about the 'kick out option' and what exactly that was, but I looked through all of the photos and saw what looked like a flared-out step/slider and I figure that's what it means. I have to discuss finances with the ol' lady before I can order; is there a way to determine what counts as a business address vs a personal address, or is it just delivering somewhere with an accessible forklift?

Please let me know if you have any questions!
