Hope everyone's well. My 2014 SR5 Full Cab is mostly a daily driver/ yard waste hauler/ errand runner. Completely stock. I recently had my mechanic install new shocks and struts (Monroes), and I swear the front end is lower now. My driving habits haven't changed, but I'm bumping and scraping my mud flaps on minor bumps (never happened before) and I'm afraid I'm going to lose one or both. I need to discuss it with him, but I'd like to be armed with some accurate dimensions for stock ride height. Any suggestions? Thanks.

When measuring from center of the hub to the bottom of the fender (this eliminates wheel size variables), a typical stock ride height is roughly 20" front, and 22" rear (passenger/driver side).

Thanks, Fitz - where did you get these dimensions?

From my own truck before the lift, as well as intel from the hive mind.

Hive mind? Well - if that's the case, then my front end has indeed dropped 1.5 inches since the new struts.

I'm sure others will post here but I'll measure when I get home. I have 3rd gen shocks on mine so the front will be a little higher than standard but should still give you an idea. I have never once hit my flaps on the ground under normal driving

1.5" sounds pretty dramatic. Something doesn't sound right. The springs are what determine the ride height, not the shocks (unless were talking about something like ride height adjustable shocks, like 5100's).

I'm wondering if maybe something wasn't installed properly, or bushings are missing, or something.

    Pics would definitely help.

BTW, the hive mind refers to all of us. The TW user base.

Thanks again- these are coil-over assemblies. Not sure what the issue is, but I'll get to the bottom of it.

If it was a full assembly its likely thats the case. I would of much rather opted for Bilstein 4600's and reuse the stock coils.

I did a leveling kit with monroe struts/springs and I noticed it didnt raise the whole 2.5” like it should have. Only went up around 1.75”. My assumption is that monroe is just softer/weaker than the factory bilstein setup. I felt a noticeably softer ride with the monroe’s.
